Photosubstitution in aromatic compounds with the participation of nucleophiles.
Note:
While electrophilic substitution is the most common reaction on aromatic
compounds in the
ground state, nucleophilic substitution is typical for the excited
states of these compounds. Some electrophilic aromatic photosubstitutions
(upon excitation of the aromatic substrate) have been reported.
