A dust, grit or droplet separator utilizing essentially the
centrifugal force derived from the motion of the gas. The flow of gases containing suspended particles
into the device is transformed into a confined vortex from which centrifugal forces
tend to drive the suspended particles to the wall of the cyclone body. The agglomerated
particles are subsequently removed from the cyclone by gravitational action.
