A plot of the reciprocal of velocity of an enzyme-catalysed reaction
(ordinate) versus the reciprocal of substrate concentration (abscissa). The plot is
used to graphically define the maximum velocity of an enzyme-catalysed reaction and
the
Michaelis constant for the enzyme.
