Air pollution control equipment which either converts the pollutant chemically to a non-polluting
substance or collects the pollutant by some means including gravity settling chambers,
inertial separators, cyclonic separators, filters, electrical precipitators, scrubbers,
(spray towers, jet scrubbers, Venturi scrubbers, inertial scrubbers, mechanical scrubbers
and packed scrubbers). Certain gases and odoriferous compounds are controlled by combustion,
absorption (spray chambers, mechanical contactors, bubble cap or sieve plate contactors
and packed towers) and adsorption units (packed beds or fluidized beds).
